LONDON -- Mauricio Pochettino has said Tottenham Hotspur are "open" to making a signing before Tuesday's transfer deadline but rated the club's chances at a "0.01 percent".
The Spurs manager did suggest, however, that they would try to improve the squad in the summer, saying it is too difficult to make signings mid-season.
English clubs have until 11 p.m. GMT on Jan. 31 to add to their squad but Pochettino is expecting the Premier League match at Sunderland to be the only significant event on Tuesday evening.
"It's not easy but we're open. We don't have much time left to sign players.
