Tottenham Hotspur captain and goalkeeper Hugo Lloris was arrested in central London on Friday morning and charged with drink driving after failing a roadside breathalyser test, police have said.
Lloris, 31, was stopped at around 2:20 a.m. and was taken to Charing Cross police station, where he was formally charged before being released on bail.
According to the Metropolitan Police, Lloris is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Sept. 11.
The goalkeeper joined Tottenham in 2012 and has started both of their Premier League games this season after winning the World Cup with France.
