LONDON -- Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies joined his manager Mauricio Pochettino in refusing to blame Wembley for the dismal 1-0 defeat to Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League.
Kevin Kampl's goal left Spurs with two defeats from two at the national stadium, and winless in six matches going into Sunday's North London derby at Arsenal.
Spurs were again missing Harry Kane, Toby Alderweireld and Erik Lamela but they were unrecognisable from the team that beat Manchester City at the beginning of last month.
Davies, who also started the 2-1 defeat to AS Monaco in September, echoed Pochettino in insisting the unfamiliar surroundings were not to blame for the display.
