Earlier this week, the two former Tottenham favourites reconnected over Zoom to reminisce about their double act and a few regrets. There was also talk of darts and home schooling.

Van der Vaart had a brilliant career. He started at Ajax, moved to Hamburg, then Real Madrid, before arriving at Tottenham in August 2010.
