Harry Kane’s hopes of rewriting history further by scoring a hat-trick of hat-tricks when Tottenham travel to Swansea on Tuesday could be derailed by illness.
The Spurs striker has a cold and missed training on Friday, with manager Mauricio Pochettino telling the hotshot to stay at home.
Kane, who scored back-to-back trebles against Burnley and Southampton over the festive period to take his 2017 tally to 56 goals for Spurs and England, will be assessed on a day-to-day basis.

The last player to score three hat-tricks in consecutive games in the English top-flight was Liverpool’s Jack Balmer in 1946.
