Toby Alderweireld could be set for more than three months away from Tottenham's first-team as the defender gives an update on his injury.
The centre-back suffered a hamstring problem early into Spurs' 3-1 win over Real Madrid last month and it appears the issue could be worse than first thought.
The club had expected their man would be back in time for some of the festive fixtures but it seems the defender is yet to understand the full extent of his injury.
According to Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur, Alderweireld said: 'I have a serious muscle tear.
