Tottenham set for £3million windfall when they sell the cranes building new stadium

Tottenham will enjoy a £3million windfall courtesy of the CRANES which are currently part of the build project on their new stadium.

The new 61,000-seater ground is taking shape next door to their historic White Hart Lane home with seven of the giant towers right at the heart of the build.

Due to a shortage of cranes for hire when the project started Tottenham had to spend £6million buying them.

And the sky-rocketing cost of steel means the cranes have leapt in value from £870,000 each to a whopping £1.4million a-piece.

The £3m will come in very handy to Tottenham, whose new ground - which will be ready for the 2017-18 season - will cost £750million.
