Tottenham receive Harry Kane fitness boost ahead of Champions League showdown with CSKA Moscow

Tottenham have received a boost on the eve of their Champions League encounter against CSKA Moscow, with striker Harry Kane now likely to return earlier than expected.

Kane sustained an ankle ligament injury against Sunderland eight days ago and has been left out of the trip to Russia, along with Mousa Dembele, Eric Dier, Danny Rose and Moussa Sissoko.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino put his squad through their paces at the new Arena CSKA - which opened only a fortnight ago - with the north London club hoping to kick-start their European campaign.
