Tottenham poised to smash Premier League attendance record when club moves into Wembley

Tottenham are aiming to shatter Premier League attendance records next season after moving a step closer to calling 90,000-capacity Wembley Stadium their temporary home.

Stadium bosses have asked Brent Council to be allowed to host Tottenham’s 2017-18 home fixtures at full capacity under the iconic arch.

The Premier League’s top 10 attendances all belong to Manchester United, with Old Trafford's 76,073 in 2007 the best. Next season, Spurs could complete a clean sweep.
