Tottenham believe they can land a £150million windfall after opening talks with the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) over a naming rights deal for the redeveloped White Hart Lane.
Negotiations have been ramped-up after the club learned the Qatari’s deal with Barcelona is expected to come to an end next summer, The Times reports today.
Spurs had hoped to secure a deal worth £25million-a-year, but markets conditions have dictated a lower figure offered to interested parties.
The north London club have approached 300 companies about various sponsorship deals for the new arena, which will also host American football matches, when ready in the summer of 2018.
