Three quick thoughts from Monaco's 2-1 Champions League group-stage win over Tottenham at Wembley on Wednesday night.
1. Spurs fail to take their chances
Tottenham Hotspur's second Champions League campaign got off to a disappointing start at Wembley Stadium as Monaco were deserved 2-1 winners of the group E opening game.
Spurs started well but goals from Bernardo Silva and Thomas Lemar gave the French side a two-goal lead, and although Toby Alderweireld gave the home side hope on the brink of half-time, Mauricio Pochettino's team were unable to impose themselves in a second half where they created chances but never quite had the sharpness to make the most of their opportunities.
