Martin Chivers has slammed the farcical use of VAR in Tottenham's FA Cup win against Rochdale.
The former Spurs forward watched on as Spurs winger Erik Lamela seemed to have put his side ahead only for the goal to be later ruled out due to a foul. Referee Paul Tierney then gave a free-kick for a foul on Kieran Trippier before the VAR intervened, deciding it was a penalty instead.
There was also a series of delays during the match as Tierney checked and rechecked decisions on the field.
While Spurs eventually emerged 6-1 victors, Chivers believes the decision making could have cost the superior hosts.
