Tottenham have launched a recruitment drive for ex-military servicemen and women to become stewards, security staff and hosts at their new stadium when it opens for business later this year.
Working in partnership with military charity Sporting Force, the Premier League club hope to fill 50 full time and part time jobs with army veterans, making it the largest recruitment scheme of its kind across the division.
According to the Royal British Legion’s Household Survey there are 120,000 veterans of working age currently unemployed across the country, and ex-army forces are twice as likely to find themselves out of work.
