Tottenham's complaints over Chelsea coach Steve Holland’s expected appointment as assistant to Gareth Southgate will only add to the tensions between the London clubs ahead of their clash at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
A number of Premier League teams were reported to have objected to the possibility of Holland staying on at Stamford Bridge were he to become Gareth Southgate’s No 2, and thus have information about the fitness of England players that might give Chelsea an unfair advantage.
However, it has emerged that the only club known to have voiced concerns about the potential dual role were Tottenham, whose differences with Chelsea are mounting up.
