Tottenham's new stadium will have an increased capacity of over 62,000 following approval from Haringey Council, the Premier League club have announced.
The club's initial application for their new stadium, currently being built on the old White Hart Lane site and scheduled for completion in time for next season, had been for just over 61,500.
"We are pleased to confirm that @haringeycouncil has approved our application to increase the capacity of #SpursNewStadium," the club announced on Twitter.
"This will now see our official stadium capacity rise from 61,559 to 62,062."
When the new stadium opens Spurs will have the second largest club ground in the capital after the London Stadium and the fourth largest in the capital behind Wembley and Twickenham.
