AC Milan have identified Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele as a January transfer target as they look for midfield reinforcements, according to reports in Italy.
Milan have struggled to meet expectations this season in Serie A after spending big last summer, and recently fired manager Vincenzo Montella, bringing in Gennaro Gattuso.
Gattuso, a former Italy international central midfielder, has identified the position as an area where Milan need fresh blood, alongside mainstay Franck Kessie.

According to Corriere Dello Sport, Milan have made inquiries about 30-year-old Dembele, who is no longer an automatic starter for Spurs.
