Tottenham Hotspur are looking into a move for Bayer Leverkusen defender Benjamin Henrichs as a potential replacement for Kyle Walker.
Manchester City are pursuing Walker, but Spurs remain adamant he will only leave if his £50 million valuation is met.
The situation is likely to become more clear at the end of this week when he is due to return to pre-season at Tottenham.
Spurs are making enquiries into other defenders in case he moves on. One of those targets is believed to be Henrichs, who interestingly has also been on Man City's radar.
