Former Tottenham Hotspur captain Gary Mabbutt is in a stable condition in hospital after undergoing heart surgery on Monday, the club have announced.
Mabbutt was admitted to hospital on Monday morning after suffering chest pains and breathlessness.

Figures from the football world, including Mabbutt's former Spurs teammate Gary Lineker, have wished the 55-year-old well on social media.
The Bristol-born defender, who won 16 caps for England, had 16-year spell at Tottenham from 1982 until 1998 and was club captain for 11 years from 1987.
