The Brazilian is a well thought of talent over in the Eredivisie. His quickness, paired with his tremendous technique allow him to beat opponents with ease, but often this is only by cutting inside rather than charging down the flank and getting crosses in. He’s undoubtedly an impressive dribbler but one would question his ability to open up congested defences, which has been a huge problem for Tottenham this season.
It’s an unlikely given he’s already turned down a switch to Napoli, who were huge admirers of his talent. But Verdi is everything you could want in right-sided attacking midfielder and should at least be on Mauricio Pochettino’s shortlist.
