Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has joked Serge Aurier could get him the sack after the right-back set an unwanted Premier League record.
Ivorian star Aurier was called out three times over foul throws in Spurs’ 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace, and many supporters were embarrassed by the player’s performance.
Rather than criticise his player, Pochettino was happy to laugh off the incident but insisted he would rectify the matter.
He told the post-match press conference: “We are going to practice every day! I promise that to the fans too. Every day this week!
