Tottenham struggled in their first game without Harry Kane but edged past struggling Fulham 2-1 thanks to a stoppage time winner from Harry Winks at Craven Cottage.
Fernando Llorente, who was in the team in Kane's absence, made the worst possible start to his return to the team when he put the hosts ahead in the 17th minute, Jean Michael Seri's corner striking his leg to beat Hugo Lloris.
New signing Ryan Babel was lively as Fulham looked to add to their lead and Aleksandar Mitrovic saw a goal ruled out for offside shortly before half-time after Lloris was forced into an acrobatic save to deny Andre Schurrle.
