Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris bought a £15,000 guard dog to protect his family just weeks before team-mate Dele Alli was robbed at knifepoint and punched in the face

Hugo Lloris splashed out £15,000 on a specially-trained guard dog just two weeks before his Tottenham team-mate Dele Alli was robbed at knifepoint.

Alli was held up along with his brother, their partners and another man at his £2million north London home in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The England star, who was robbed of jewellery and watches worth thousands of pounds during the incident, was said to have been left 'shaken' after being punched in the face.
