Tottenham get off to a flying start in the Europa League with Lucas Moura and Son-Heung min hitting the back of the net against LASK as Gareth Bale and Carlos Vinicius make impressive full debuts

Jose Mourinho posed with three footballs as he launched his personal quest for a hat-trick of Europa League titles with the demand for his Tottenham team to respond to their late collapse against West Ham.

He posted the photograph on his Instagram account and wondered aloud to his followers what they might come to represent. Three scored against West Ham? Or the three conceded in the space of 12 minutes on Sunday?

Or, as it turned out, three more against LASK of Austria for free-scoring Spurs.

Mourinho is not afraid to target this much-maligned competition with its long fixture list, arduous travel schedule and Thursday night action.
