Tottenham have made an enquiry for Borussia Dortmund defender Matthias Ginter.
The 23-year-old may be allowed to leave this summer with Dortmund looking for £18million for a player who has two years left on contract.
Ginter, who admitted considering retirement after the terror attack on Dortmund's team bus last season, is the subject of interest from Hoffenheim also.
Ginter was a member of Germany's 2014 World Cup winning squad and can play at centre-back, right-back or defensive midfield.
Tottenham have considered Burnley's Michael Keane also but he is keen to play regularly and is hoping a £25m move to Everton materialises next week.
