Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen signs new three-year deal as Mauricio Pochettino brings out trademark pose

Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen has signed a new contract, keeping him at the north London club until at least 2019.

The Belgium centre back is the latest in a line of new deals secured by the club, following on from Harry Kane's five-and-a-half year announcement on Thursday.

Spurs tweeted the news from their official Twitter account, with a picture of Vertonghen and Mauricio Pochettino accompanying the news.

In the snap, Pochettino adopts a similar pose to previous contract signings, including Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Danny Rose, Kyle Walker and Kane — an ongoing joke that has been picked up by the dressing room.
