Tottenham are considering a surprise move for Atletico Madrid defender Stefan Savic, according to reports in Spain.
The Montenegro international had been a mainstay in Diego Simeone's well-renowned defence since joining from Fiorentina in 2015 until this season, where he has struggled with injuries.
The former Manchester City defender seems to have lost his place in the side, with Mario Hermoso the preferred choice, and Jose Mourinho could offer first team football in North London to try and tempt him away, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Spurs are in the market for reinforcements at the back with Jan Vertonghen expected to leave when his contract expires at the end of June.
