Tottenham certainly suffered a setback at Sunderland on Tuesday, but the goalless draw was not as costly as it might have seemed.
In the end, Manchester City were the only side in the top six to win during the midweek round of fixtures and Spurs' point took them from third to second place. On the other hand, the north Londoners missed a big chance to make even more ground relative to their rivals, especially as Chelsea and Liverpool also had to settle for one point apiece in a 1-1 draw.
Yet a similar opportunity presents itself on Saturday, with Chelsea set to go head-to-head with Arsenal.
