Mauricio Pochettino has waded into the Dele Alli diving debate, saying football is all about gaining small advantages and tricking your opponent.
England international Alli, 21, has been shown three yellow cards for diving since his Premier League debut in 2015. No player has received more.
His latest dive was during Tottenham’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool but Pochettino described it as a ‘minimal issue’ as players will do all they can to win a game.
The Argentine feels football is being overly ‘sensitive’ about these issues and is in danger of scrutinising itself to death.
