Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino aware trip to Sunderland has major significance at both ends of the table: 'Three points are important for them but they are very important for us'

Mauricio Pochettino admits the pressure is on Tottenham to gain ground on Chelsea at the top of the Premier League on Tuesday night.

Spurs will welcome back Harry Kane, Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose from injury issues at Sunderland and manager Pochettino says the spotlight is on his players on the same night the league leaders visit Liverpool.

Tottenham are nine points off Chelsea and need all three points at the Stadium of Light to jostle for position in the chasing pack.

Pochettino is glad, then, to be able to call on the recovering key trio of Kane (groin), Alderweireld (hamstring) and Rose (knee).
