Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino admits sealing a new deal for Hugo Lloris is key for the club

Mauricio Pochettino has hailed the capture of Hugo Lloris on a new long-term contract as the most important of Tottenham's blur of new deals in 2015.

Fifteen of Pochettino's first-team squad have agreed improved terms during the course of the last 12 months, with back-up goalkeeper Michel Vorm on Friday signing an extension until the end of next season.

'A few more and we start the cycle again,' joked the Spurs boss, but he confessed the new contract for 29-year-old Lloris, coveted as one of the top goalkeepers in European football, sent out an important message.
