Tottenham have agreed a loan deal with Benfica to bring striker Carlos Vinicius to the club for £2.73million.
The 25-year-old is set to complete a medical on Friday and will arrive on a season long loan with a £36m option to buy.
The London club need a work permit as Vinicius does not have international caps but their application has now been granted.
Jose Mourinho has been searching for a back-up for England captain Harry Kane and had considered moves for Southampton's Danny Ings and Ollie Watkins, who eventually moved from Brentford to Aston Villa.
