Tottenham 6-1 Rochdale: Mauricio Pochettino's men rated and slated after braving 'Beast of the East' to progress to FA Cup quarter-finals

A Fernando Llorente hat-trick ensured Tottenham advanced to the FA Cup quarter-finals, at the expense of Keith Hill’s brave Rochdale side.

VAR was the talk of the first half as Erik Lamela had a goal controversially ruled out after a foul was awarded in the build-up, before Spurs were awarded a penalty.

Son stepped up but was adjudged to have stopped midway through his run-up, resulting in a foul and the goal ruled out again.

Steve Humphrys scored a delightful equaliser, before a perfect hat-trick from Llorente was followed by Son’s second and a first goal from the bench by Kyle Walker-Peters.
