Tottenham 2-0 Everton: Harry Kane and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg strike in the second half after Toffees rue their glut of missed chances before the break... as Antonio Conte's side climb level on points with Manchester City

Harry Kane put Wednesday’s penalty miss behind him and rifled his second half spot-kick home to help earn Tottenham a 2-0 win against Everton on Saturday.

Kane’s England team-mate Jordan Pickford fouled the striker on his 400th appearance to concede the penalty, before Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg doubled the lead in the 86th minute.

Frank Lampard’s side dug deep in the first half and almost took the lead through Amadou Onana before the break, but the midfielder squandered his excellent opportunity over the bar.
