It's a win, it's three points, and Mauricio Pochettino will take it. But despite a bombardment of attempts by his Tottenham side, Serge Aurier was Tottenham's unlikely hero as he scored one of the bizarre goals of the season in Wednesday's 1-0 win over Brighton.
Spurs registered 13 shots - with only five on target - at Wembley Stadium, as Chris Hughton's Seagulls remained resilient throughout, only for Aurier's obscure strike, followed by Heung-min Son's late goal to seal the victory.
The Ivorian whipped a cross from the right - intended for the head of Harry Kane - which floated into the far corner and leaving Matt Ryan no chance to send Pochettino's men marching into the top four.
