Shinji Okazaki missed a header to hand Leicester the lead and Delle Ali was denied by the crossbar before summer signing Victor Janssen opened his Premier League account from the penalty spot after being dragged down by Robert Huth.
After the interval, Jamie Vardy cut in to steal a misplaced backpass before squaring for Ahmed Musa to slide home the equaliser - although the Nigerian forward received medical attention after colliding with Hugo Lloris and was eventually substituted.
