The attacking midfielder has been laid low with the problem since October.
Speaking on Thursday, Mauricio Pochettino reported: “Erik is coming back to the training ground tomorrow and we need to assess him when he arrives after his two weeks in Rome.
“He still has a little pain in his hip joint and we hope after we assess him he can start his recovery and fitness to be available as soon as possible for the team.”
Mauricio said it was important for Erik to rejoin the squad. “It’s always difficult to be away from the group but he needed in that moment to stay in a different place.
