Ryan Mason has told talkSPORT his is keen to begin a coaching career at former club Tottenham after hanging up his boots at the age of 26, saying – ‘Spurs is in my DNA’.

Mason announced his retirement from football on Tuesday, having been forced to give up the game after suffering a life-threatening head injury 13 months ago.

The midfielder, who came through Tottenham’s academy and joined Hull City in 2016, was hospitalised for over a week and left with 14 metal plates in his head after fracturing his skull in an accidental clash of heads with Chelsea defender Gary Cahill.
