It’s the third-successive year the squad has travelled to the city manager Mauricio Pochettino, assistant Jesus Perez, coach Miguel D’Agostino and goalkeeping coach Toni Jimenez know so well from their time together at Espanyol in La Liga.
Mauricio explained: “Always, every season, I think it’s important to stay all together for a few days in a different environment.
“It’s team building and with the new players, it’s always fantastic to spend 24 hours together doing dfferent things than we do here in London.
“It’s so important for the players, the staff, for everyone.”
The squad will return later this week to finish preparations for the trip to Southampton in the Premier League on Sunday week (21 January, 4pm).
