Our goalkeeper and skipper missed the midweek draw with Sunderland through illness with Michel Vorm stepping into the breach to keep a clean sheet.
But Mauricio Pochettino reported this afternoon (Friday, February 3) that he expects to have the Frenchman back for our meeting with Boro.
“Hugo trained yesterday and today and we hope that for tomorrow he will be available,” he told Spurs TV. “We are happy, (he’s had) good evolution and if all is going normally he will be in the team.”
Mauricio does have a number of absentees for the game, however. Danny Rose will see a specialist on Monday over a knee problem while Georges-Kevin Nkoudou (knee) and Kieran Trippier (hip) remain sidelined, although the manager says the latter two are making rapid progress.
