The Gunners brought in former Borussia Dortmund duo Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan during the January transfer window, the latter coming via Manchester United in a deal that saw Alexis Sanchez move to Old Trafford. Long-serving striker Olivier Giroud left for Chelsea, making way for Aubameyang.
