Souness warns Spurs only a 'nightmare run with injuries' will help them challenge Man City to title

Tottenham may have dug in to beat a good Brighton side, but Graeme Souness reckons their title ambitions rests on Manchester City's luck with injuries.

Harry Kane's first-half goal was enough to give Spurs three points at the end of a tough week for the club following the sudden death of fitness coach Gian Piero Ventrone. The win sees Spurs third in the Premier League table only behind Arsenal and City.

However, Souness believes that to challenge Pep Guardiola's side to the Premier League title they will have to benefit from City having an 'absolute nightmare run with injuries', and he says the same goes for the rest of the league.
