Having struggled to show their best form in their opening three fixtures, Tottenham really kick-started their campaign and roared into life away at Stoke on Saturday, replicating the 4-0 victory they recorded in the Potteries last April.
Son Heung-Min broke the deadlock before the break and then doubled his tally before Dele Alli and Harry Kane completed the rout.
Positives
Spurs had lacked creativity in their first three games, seemingly missing the influential Mousa Dembele, and the front four looked below-par for the first half an hour at Stoke as well. But by the end of the game Son had scored twice and added an assist, while Christian Eriksen had set up two goals, and Alli and Kane had both opened their accounts for the season.
