Saracens are optimistic that captain Owen Farrell will be fit to lead their title challenge in the Premiership and Champions Cup at the business end of the season.
The 31-year-old fly-half – skipper for club and country – limped off 10 minutes from the end of the league leaders' 36-24 win over London rivals Harlequins at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last Saturday.
Farrell appeared to roll his left ankle which left him in obvious pain and it emerged that he had aggravated an injury which had threatened his participation in the Six Nations finale against Ireland in Dublin seven days earlier.
