Rio Ferdinand has lavished praise on Harry Kane after the Tottenham talisman's explosive return to action in the win against West Brom.
Kane, 27, was handed a shock start on Sunday afternoon after recovering from injuring both of his ankles against Liverpool just a fortnight ago.
The gamble from Jose Mourinho paid off in style, however, with Kane on target against the basement club - and Ferdinand quickly hailed him as a 'special player'.
After his strike in north London, Kane moved into second spot on the list of Tottenham's all-time goal scorers.
