Wayne Rooney became Manchester United's all-time top goalscorer this season, but he remains some way off the all-time top flight goal record.
His 195th Premier League strike came against Stoke City – a glorious free-kick to rescue the Red Devils a point – and he'll need 65 more to catch Alan Shearer's Premier League record.
But did you know Shearer, while holding the Premier League goalscoring record with 260 strikes, actually scored 283 top flight goals?
That is because the Premier League is merely the name of the English top flight since the 1992/93 season, when the top division broke away from the Football League, which had previously been in charge of what was known as Division One.
