Real Madrid set their sights on Harry Kane as they prepare to join Man United in £100m race for his signature following Karim Benzema's exit... and Tottenham's reluctance to sell to an English rival could give Spanish giants an edge

Real Madrid are set to test Harry Kane’s resolve to become the Premier League’s greatest ever goalscoring record as they plot a £100m swoop for the Tottenham striker.

The Spanish giants have confirmed legendary striker Karim Benzema is departing the Bernabeu this summer, leaving Real searching for a replacement.

Madrid have a long-term interest in Kane and are ready to launch a bid to lure the 29-year-old to the Spanish capital ahead of next season.

Sources have indicated Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will quote Madrid a minimum starting price of £100million for Kane once an enquiry lands.
