Premier League players are facing surprise home visits from police after they return home from matches in Europe in a bid to stop more Covid-19 rule breaks, according to reports.
Squads and staff who travel to take part in Champions League and Europa League clubs are required to self-isolate for five days, with officials said to be making spot-checks to ensure that players only leave their houses to train and play in games.
A source at one club told The Sun: 'The authorities obviously have all the details of those who have travelled on file.
