Peter Crouch insists fans won't 'tolerate' Spurs' current playing style if Antonio Conte 'doesn't deliver on trophies'... as Rio Ferdinand claims 'the way they're playing' must be 'frustrating' for players

Peter Crouch believes that Tottenham fans won't 'tolerate' the side's playing style under Antonio Conte unless it wins them trophies.

The former Spurs striker claimed that his former club have been 'difficult' to watch at times, and insisted that the Italian manager would have to deliver silverware in order to placate supporters.

Conte celebrated his one-year anniversary in charge of Tottenham in their Champions League clash with Marseille on Tuesday night, after leaving then-Serie A champions Inter in the summer of 2021.

The former England striker said: 'The brand of football - if he doesn't deliver on trophies, I think the Tottenham fans aren't gonna tolerate the football that's being played at the moment because it's difficult to watch.
