Nuno Espirito Santo has slammed the new heading guidelines, branding it 'absurd' to ask players not to head balls and calling for a relaxation of the regulations.
Tottenham boss Nuno last week became the first Premier League manager to admit he was not abiding by the limits on heading in training brought in ahead of this season.
Clubs were advised that players should not be completing more than 10 high-force headers per week amid fears about the connection between heading and dementia.
The Premier League — who agreed the guidelines with the FA, EFL, PFA and LMA — were planning talks with Nuno following his comments and when asked if they had taken place, he said: 'They know my position.
