Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko has been given permission to leave the France training camp to complete a transfer before Wednesday's deadline -- reportedly to Tottenham Hotspur.
Sissoko, 27, impressed during Euro 2016 with France and has been linked with a return to the Premier League after Newcastle's relegation last season.
The player himself talked up a potential move to Real Madrid, but Tottenham have reportedly moved to the front of the queue to complete a deal in the region of £20m according to the Daily Mirror and Telegraph.
France's official Twitter account revealed that Sissoko has been allowed to leave the rest of the squad to complete a transfer -- although did not clarify which club he would join.
